This is a bit off-topic but your article reminded me of hearing a writer describe how, each time she was ready to start a new novel, she would paint the walls of her room a new colour to match the book. Must admit that I've never done it myself but I love the idea.
I have the audio feature on my PC laptop, and I love it! The best text-to-speech I've heard. However, it hasn't appeared on my Android phone. Will I get it on my phone in the future? I'd really like that.
Thanks Gus. In fact, I wrote 'Correspondence' 30 years ago this year! I should really celebrate that, if novels are allowed to have birthdays. That book was all about the direct relationship between humans and computers, though, and I had never been online when I wrote it. I'm grateful for that experience, and sometimes wonder if I would have responded differently to the internet had I not had that 1-1 with my computer before engaging with the 1-many of the internet. How about you? Can you remember your offline interactions with computers?
Thanks for this advice. At the moment very few of my views are internal, so this idea might help. Oddly enough, I find that some of my older posts get lots of attention. Two practical creative writing exercises have been read steadily for about 3 years! I also have a humorous piece about exercising at home with Yuval Noah Harari which is over a year old but still gets lots of reads. I'll give your idea a go!
